Phrasebook Poetry
May. 9th, 2010 11:05 pmGood phrasebook poetry will appear naturally on the page. There will be no need for the reader to rearrange the phrases, their order will in all cases be correct as initially set out. The run of phrases may form a logical progression, or contain contradictions, or both.
It may amuse or seem ludicrous, but in its most accomplished form will have a note of plaintive appeal or lonely melancholy.
Phrasebook poetry is at its best when you...
...are cold / hot
...are hungry
...are tired / stressed
...cannot sleep
...are in an hotel

May. 9th, 2010 11:19 pmI Need A Mechanic
I Have Nothing To Declare
I need a mechanic
I've had an accident
The car has broken down in Düsseldorf
The car won't start
I have a flat tyre
I've lost my car keys
I've locked the keys inside
I've run out of petrol
Can you fix it today?
How long will it take?

I Have Nothing To Declare
I have nothing to declare
I have something to declare
Do I have to declare this?
That's mine
That's not mine
I didn't know I had to declare it.
