Look at this picture. See the people strewn about the grass in carefree poses. See how lightly clad some of them are (there were lasses in bikinis here and there, take my word for it).

Now look at the trees. How lightly clad they are too. They still have no leaves.

Just occasionally, once in a very long while, climate beats the season in our favour.
