I've got a hotmail address on my userinfo that I set up just for convenience's sake. I didn't think anyone would ever want to e-mail me on it, because LJ doesn't really work like that. Someone did though, it only took me about a month to open it. She/He/It told me about this other fellow who It/He/She said writes a bit like I do. I see their point.

You should read that guy. I did, for most of yesterday evening. His archives go back to the year dot, though he hasn't updated for a couple of weeks. It's true that a lot of his stuff has an observational angle. And geographically, well, he's local. But he writes so damned well. Fiction interspersed with Diarism, or vice versa. Almost no dross. Very little fruitless introspection. If he isn't already being paid for what he does, he should be. He's the real thing. He's on Blogspot, and I know that means crossing the species divide, but persevere and you'll most likely feel rewarded.
